UCV Sustainability
At the Catholic University of Valencia we aim to achieve a fairer society and a better planet, so we are creating a space where you can study, research, act and live with a real impact on sustainability, the perfect place if you want to train as a professional and committed citizen.
We do this in three main areas of responsibility:
Social: we promote inclusion, development cooperation, women's equality, and volunteering, helping those who are closest to us and those who are waiting for us in the farthest corners of the world; if you are moved by solidarity causes, you are already part of the UCV, we are waiting for you!
Environmental: we are committed to energy efficiency, we promote recycling and responsible purchasing, we strive to reduce our CO2 footprint and promote marine sustainability, through the IMEDMAR institute, yand smart coastal urban sustainability, with the European alliance EU-CONEXUS; if you believe in leaving a better world than the one you found, UCV is your place, come and join us!
Institutional: we are driven by equal opportunities and our scholarships reach one out of every three students; we help every student to find employment and encourage entrepreneurship; we collaborate nationally and internationally in the field of economic development and innovation; furthermore, we take great care over the quality of our studies and services and we govern ourselves with our own ethical codes and protocols; if you take your future as seriously as we do, UCV is committed to you, let's get to know each other!

UCV University Chaplaincy
Looking for something more? The University Chaplaincy invites you to take care of your spiritual life while you study. Its mission is simple: to integrate faith, culture, and action in the service of others.
We focus on three key areas, so you can join the one(s) that speak to you the most:
Intellectual - debates, readings, and gatherings where faith and science come together to discuss today’s most relevant issues.
Spiritual - open chapels, times for prayer, and daily Masses on all campuses, offering you a moment of peace to recharge your spirit.
Social and missionary – volunteering projects that take you beyond the classroom and into action, whether locally or across the globe.
You won’t be alone - up to 150 chaplains and mentors are available to listen, answer your questions, or simply chat about life between classes. Each campus offers Mass schedules, confession, and one-to-one pastoral support, so you can find a time that suits your routine.
In short, the Chaplaincy is that corner of campus where you can pause, reflect, and act with Christian purpose. If you’re looking for a university that looks after both your mind and your heart, we’re here for you

Buddy Family Programme
The Buddy Family Programme is designed to help you settle in and feel part of the university and the city from day one.
You will join a small group—known as a “Family”—made up of local UCV students (your buddies) and other international students. Your buddies will act as mentors, offering guidance and support with university procedures, the Spanish language, cultural adaptation, and everyday life in Valencia.
You will be in touch with them even before your arrival, so you can ask any questions you may have about accommodation, transport, the university, or day-to-day life in the city. Once you arrive, you will meet your Family and begin your integration process.
Regular activities will also be organised to give each Family the opportunity to meet up and enjoy time together.
