Long-term Mobility
Application deadline: 30 September to 30 October.
To apply for mobility:
Go to your Intranet - Departments - International - International Programmes Application ... and select the programme and destination institution (you can choose up to 3 destinations per programme).
*There will be a special round of applications for the second semester with any remaining places. The deadline for applying for mobility will be from 20 to 30 June.
Only in the case of internships do students have the opportunity to submit a spontaneous application, i.e. mobility to institutions with which the UCV does not have a signed agreement. In these cases, students must:
Find the institution and send the letter of acceptance signed and stamped by the destination institution to outgoing@ucv.es, with the prior authorisation of the International Degree Coordinator, within the following deadlines:
- 15 May (mobility between 1 July and 31 December)
- 15 October (mobility between 1 January and 30 June)
Institutions with which the UCV has signed Erasmus agreements are not eligible for spontaneous applications: Erasmus Acceptance Letter

Requirements
- Be enrolled at UCV
- Have a minimum B1 level in the language of the host institution (check the language requirements set by the host institutions).
- Have an active UCV email address (@mail.ucv.es)
- Students who are not Spanish nationals and wish to study abroad in their country of origin must have a valid residence permit in Spain for the duration of their mobility programme
- Students travelling to countries outside the European Union must be aware of the procedures and deadlines for visas and arrange these directly with the relevant Consulate/Embassy in Spain
- UCV students participating in mobility programmes must be aware of all procedures at both UCV and the host institution, have their UCV email address activated and check it regularly. In this way, UCV ensures that students are aware of their rights and responsibilities when participating in a mobility programme.

Criteria
Places will be allocated by the International Degree Coordinator (IDC) based on the following criteria:
- Academic record (weighted average mark per subject taken)
- Personal interview
- Language level
*Note: during the application period, students must provide proof of their language level by means of a valid certificate and/or register for the language tests at the UCV Language Institute, depending on the language or languages required for the destinations requested.

Types of Grants
KA131 Erasmus Grant
Long-term study mobility: up to 7 months of funding (except for disadvantaged students4, for whom this limit does not apply).
Long-term internship mobility: up to 3 months of funding (except for disadvantaged students4, for whom this limit does not apply).
Only the period of actual academic activity is funded (travel days are not included).
KA171 Erasmus Grant
The Erasmus+ KA171 programme offers grants for study or work placements in countries not associated with the Erasmus+ programme.
These placements have a maximum duration of 5 months and only the period of academic activity is funded (travel days are not included).

3. Additional assistance for internships
All students participating in internship mobility programmes will receive an extra monthly amount of €150.
4. Additional assistance for disadvantaged students
Additional monthly assistance of €250 will be provided to disadvantaged students if any of the following situations can be documented:

- Unfavourable socio-economic situations (MEC scholarship, minimum living wage, social exclusion, large or single-parent family, etc.).
- Situations of special need or social emergency.
- Victims of gender violence, terrorism or orphanhood.

- Health problems requiring additional support.
- Refugee students or applicants for international protection.
- Registration or enrolment in Ceuta or Melilla.
Example
A student is going on a long-term internship in Brussels (Belgium) for four months and has fewer opportunities.
Their grant:
(€425 (base amount for Belgium1) + €150 (additional internship allowance3) + €250 (disadvantaged allowance4)) * 3 (number of months) + €309 (non-eco-friendly travel allowance2 between 500 and 1,999 km) = ~€2,784
Notes:
- Students must pass at least 40% of the credits enrolled.
- Failure to comply with Erasmus regulations or poor academic performance may result in a reduction or repayment of the grant.
- These grants are compatible with Erasmus mobility grants.
- All other things being equal, priority will be given to students who have not previously participated in an Erasmus mobility programme.

Santander Erasmus Grant
The Catholic University of Valencia ‘St Vincent Martyr’, in collaboration with Banco Santander, the Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities, and CRUE Spanish Universities, offers UCV students who are going to participate in an Erasmus+ mobility programme at institutions in the European Union, whether for studies or internships, the “Santander Erasmus Grants”.
This is an additional grant to the Erasmus+ grant funded by the European Union. This programme recognises the academic excellence of Erasmus+ students and promotes social inclusion and equal opportunities.

Number of grants awarded to UCV:
- 13 grants of €1,000
- Aimed at UCV students who are beneficiaries of the Erasmus+ mobility programme for studies in Europe and/or internships, who have the best academic records.
- Priority will be given to students with the best academic records who have received a general (socio-economic) scholarship from the Ministry in the previous academic year or who can legally prove that they have a disability equal to or greater than 33%.
Requirements:
- Undertake an Erasmus+ mobility programme (at an institution within the EU) during the academic year corresponding to the call for applications.
- Have a Banco Santander bank account.
Application submission procedure:
- Students must have been assigned and accepted a place on the Erasmus+ Mobility Programme for the academic year corresponding to the call for applications.
- UCV students must register in advance and on a mandatory basis via the Santander Erasmus Grants platform: www.santanderopenacademy.com
- Once the grant has been awarded, students must log back onto the platform in their personal area to accept or reject the grant within the established deadline.
- beneficiary of the Santander Erasmus Grant may transfer their personal data, if authorised, to Banco Santander for the following purposes:

- To include them in the file of the current Santander Grants Portal www.santanderopenacademy.com, or its replacement, providing users with the information they need for their studies and services in which they may be interested.
- For statistical purposes, as well as for the study of the use of services by users, the design of new services, and the sending of technical and operational information about its services so that the user can benefit from all of them.

Short-term Mobility
A combined short mobility programme consists of a face-to-face mobility programme lasting between 5 and 30 days and a virtual component before or after the face-to-face mobility programme, of variable duration. Combined short mobility programmes can be undertaken for both studies and work placements. One way of undertaking a combined short mobility programme is through BIPs (Blended Intensive Programmes).
Application deadline
Throughout the academic year, selection processes are announced for combined short-term mobility programmes and BIPs aimed at different degrees.
The faculty will inform students of the corresponding degrees and courses by email. Keep an eye on your UCV emails and pay attention to the application dates. The registration link will be sent in the emails.
Requirements
With the aim of promoting inclusion and equal opportunities, priority will be given to students who, due to their personal circumstances, are unable to undertake long-term physical mobility and find themselves in any of the following situations:
- Students with fewer opportunities
- Disability equal to or greater than 33%.
- Recipients of grants from the Ministry of Education.
- Students with a full-time employment contract.
Other recognised situations:
- Recipients of the Minimum Living Income.
- At risk of social exclusion.
- Large or single-parent families.
- Victims of terrorism.
- Victims of gender-based violence.
- Dependent persons.
- Residence in areas affected by DANA, accredited by means of a certificate of registration.
More specific for a BIP:
- Be enrolled at the Catholic University of Valencia (except in the case of internships for recent graduates).
- Have a minimum level of B1 in the language of the host institution (some institutions may require a higher level).
- Not have completed or been assigned another BIP or short-term mobility programme in the same academic year (maximum one per year and two during the degree).
- Be a citizen of the EU, Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, a candidate country for accession, or have a valid residence permit in Spain during the mobility programme.
- Be informed about all the procedures of the UCV and the host institution, with an active @mail.ucv.es email address that is checked regularly.

Erasmus for recent graduates
Undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral students can undertake an internship within one year of completing their studies through the Erasmus+ Programme's ‘recent graduates mobility’ scheme.
Description
Mobility programmes of this type can be long-term (minimum 2 months, maximum 12 months per study cycle (bachelor's, master's and doctorate), and up to a maximum of 24 months for bachelor's degrees lasting more than 4 years: Medicine, Dentistry and Veterinary Medicine).
Or short-term – from 5 to 30 days.
In order to undertake a short-term mobility programme, students must meet the requirements and follow the criteria for short-term Erasmus mobility programmes set out in the previous section.
Short-term mobility must be approved by the International Coordinator of the degree programme and will be granted in order of application and depending on the funds available for the project. It must include a compulsory virtual component in the case of bachelor's or master's degrees and is recommended in the case of doctorates.
Short-term study mobility must have a minimum of 3 ECTS credits.
