Build your international itinerary
Preparing students for a global world is one of UCV's priority.
Therefore, UCV offers the opportunity to obtain an international Certificate or Advanced Certificate that promotes the internationalization of its students' curriculum, a mark of quality and competence.
What is it?
The certificates attest that students have completed an international pathway during their studies that highlights:
- Their English language skills
- Their international experience
- Interculturality
These certificates are optional and are taken as part of the student's curriculum, without having to take additional credits.
The programne is structured in three steps:
-
- Complete 18 ECTS (Certificate) or 30 ECTS (Advanced Certificate) of degree subjects taught in English.
- Participate in international mobility through the Erasmus, Mundus, or EU-CONEXUS programs. This can be in-person or virtual mobility. And/or have participated in international volunteer work through the UCV Volunteer School.
- Participate in at least one internationalization activity at home to introduce interculturality into the student's CV, specifically:
- Buddy Family Programme: participate in this programme in which UCV students act as ‘mentors’ to foreign students. Students must obtain the Buddy Certificate (attendance at training, participation in a program activity, and positive evaluation).
- International Virtual Exchange / COIL: participate in a virtual exchange and successfully complete the requirements set by the teacher.
- International week: attend an international week at UCV or another university.
- ESN-UCV (Erasmus Student Network): Receive a positive evaluation as a volunteer or member of the association during an academic year.
- EU-CONEXUS' Student Board, Academic Council, and/or other official cultural/linguistic/sports activity groups of the project.
- Be part of the Young Researchers for Interculturality group of the European Institute for Education for a Democratic Culture at the Catholic University of Valencia (ECUDEM-UCV).
Once they have completed the three steps, students can request their certificate by writing to ori@ucv.es, so that it will appear in the SET via their intranet when they finish their degree.
