The City of Valencia

Valencia is one of the most vibrant, forward-thinking and cosmopolitan cities in Spain. It is the country's third largest city and has a heritage, culture and nightlife to rival the best cities in Europe. Valencia is very proud of its dedication to forward thinking architecture and cultural projects. The city is also a great place to head if you fancy relaxing in the outdoors. Not only does it boast 13 km of golden sandy beaches, there are also parks and gardens throughout the city offering tranquility and beauty.

Valencia is a relatively small city. There are some options that offer you limited or unlimited use of buses, tram or metro, but it depends on the period of use.

Opening a bank account

If you wish to open a bank account in Spain you need to have the NIE (identification number for foreigners).

If you are an EU-Student, you have to go to Comisaria de Policía de Bailen  in C/ Bailen, 9 Valencia

If you are a non EU-Student, you have to go to COMISARIA DE PATRAIX in C/ Dels Gremis, 6 Valencia.

All the emergency services are coordinated through the telephone number 112. If you urgently need an ambulance, the fire brigade or the police, ring this number.
