Universidad Católica de Valencia

UCV has obtained the SGS-Disinfection Monitored Cleaning Checked seal certified by the multinational SGS, which guarantees that all efforts and resources employed in cleaning, disinfection and hygienization are being carried out in an adequate and efficient manner in favour of the health of everyone, following the procedure established by the company Betelgeux-Christeyns. Thanks to this, we can say that our campuses are safe places against COVID-19.

Update: Classes will be held in virtual mode until 28 February

After a meeting  held with the Scientific Committee, where the pandemic was analysed and in particular the consequences and effects of the new SARS-CoV-2 variants, as well as the evolution of the pandemic at  our University and in the UCV University Council of 25 January, our Institution has decided to switch classes to virtual mode and through Microsoft TEAMS until 28 February.

There may be some exceptions, as the Dean may identify some activities where presence is necessary or recommended, and will be held onsite and for which extremely health security measures will be taken. More details will be given by your UCV academic coordinator.

These decisions seek to preserve the health of the entire university community and to guarantee that the learning process of our students is carried out with all the guarantees (academic and health).

Hygiene and personal protection

A series of strict personal hygiene standards have been implemented for the entire university community (workers and students), as well as for visitors, suppliers and the general public, which are specified in the following:

1Widespread use of mask.

2Maintaining safety distance (1.5 to 2 meters).

3Use of face shields or partitions for counters and service points.

4Washing and sanitizing of hands when entering and leaving the building and when using the toilets (hydroalcoholic gel dispensers have been installed in all offices, common areas and toilets).

5UCV Clinics offer the COVID-19 Detection Test service. To make an appointment and get more information click here.

The premises have been labelled with signs reminding of the hygiene measures that apply inside the campuses, as well as the routes that have been established inside for social distancing.

Social distance

The occupation of all the spaces has been defined respecting the occupation of 4 square meters per person and applying a radius of action of one meter per person.

In the classrooms, the capacity has been restricted to a quarter of the normal occupation, indicating the places to be occupied according to the scheme defined for a typical classroom (three free chairs between students in the same row and placing students in consecutive rows in staggered order).
